Fun and easy Activities for kids with Walmart+

This is a sponsored post by Walmart +. More information on their amazing benefits can be found here. All reviews and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal view.

I am sharing my top Play Doh inspired sensory play/STEM activities for kids.

First things first, with the littles home (alllll the time), it was definitely time to restock my craft/play cabinet. I headed to Walmart+ to order our go-to’s.

I can always count on Walmart+ to deliver the fun (and the essentials!). With Walmart+, you get free delivery from your store ($35 minimum, restrictions apply) as soon as same day. Plus, you get the same everyday low prices we all know and love!

On top of that, you will also save 5¢ per gallon at Walmart & Murphy stations. Plus, access member pricing at Sam’s Club fuel centers.

There is more! With Walmart+ you get FREE shipping, no order minimum on items from Walmart.com (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items) with next-day and two-day shipping options. Seriously you cannot go wrong!

Now for the fun part. Here is a list of items I picked up this time around.

Play Doh
Pipe Cleaners
Craft sticks
Colored Craft Sticks
Pasta
Wood sticks
Food coloring

BONUS: I also use these cooking sheets for all messy activities to protect my table/counter and easy clean up!

These are some of the fun activities we did. Usually, we will do one of these, plus free play at the end.

3D SHAPES
This one was my favorite of the activities. You will need popsicle sticks and Play Doh. Have your littles roll a ball with the Play Doh then use the sticks to form the shapes. We did squares, triangles, rectangles and attempted the hexagon.

RACE CAR/BALL DROP
This was a fan favorite with my oldest (8). He made a ‘track’ with the Play Doh rolls.  He positioned them in spots to try and get the car to hit a target at the bottom (once lifted). He added popsicle sticks and straws to make it more challenging (and fancy!). You can also use a Play Doh car for this as well!

PASTA AND FUZZY PIPES
This one will really work on your preschooler’s fine motor skills. To add a little fun, I added food coloring to the pasta beforehand. You can add as much or as little as you like. Then he would take the pasta and string it along the fuzzy pipe cleaner.  He even made me a bracelet to ‘wear forever and ever’.

SCAVENGER HUNT – COLOR RECOGNITION
This one is a fun and easy one. We roll a ball of Play Doh and the littles search for a small object that matches it. For example, we roll a green – the little can use his toy solider to match. This is a great introduction into shades of colors as well!

FREE PLAY
Of course, once all things are said and done, the imagination is sparked with free play. I laid out all the materials we had and let them go at it. My youngest made a robot while the oldest continued on upgrading his track.
